Sitting in New Jersey
Eating some pasta before heading to Brooklyn. We’re on our third day of our mini Fourth-of-July tour with Green Paper and Fort Wilson Riot.
Last night we played at Candyrot in Lambertville, NJ. It’s a small vintage store and art gallery where the owners live upstairs. It was an absolute gorgeous place, and the show had much more of a party atmosphere with drinks, vegan kebabs, all types of berries and desserts.

Apparently Lambertville sets off fireworks after every Friday, so we all gathered on the roof deck along with show-goers to watch before starting our set.

The space was also excellent for the show. Other than some technical difficulties at the beginning of our set, the sound was excellent. It was a really positive and fun atmosphere, which can be a rarity while traveling.

The owners of Candyrot are super friendly. They gave us all free tshirts and were very generous with their food and home. If you’re ever in Lambertville, stop by!
I’m excited to see what Brooklyn holds for us.

P.S. All these great photos are by Tomm from Green Paper. I’m not so dilligent about uploading my pics!

This is the blog of Gypsy Death and You, a two-piece band from Philadelphia. Emily Cahill and Alex Wilson formed the band after meeting in a music course during their freshman year of college, writing and recording their own brand of pretty/noisy indie rock.
